...simple truths...

even in a complex world
simple truths can change everything.
once upon a time,
a velveteen rabbit learned that new isn't
necessarily better...
that the quiet wisdom of a old toy horse
can change the world...
that honest friendship and understanding
can warm the heart..
that a good book can make the
world a better place
and that love can make us real.

real light
real objects
real shadows.
simple truths.
just BE.

The split-rail fence is of the past, the rusty implement looks old. Yet age doesn't alter their function, the weathered wood keeps the critters in, the oxidized tool still able to assist the farmer, rust or no.

The Velveteen Rabbit was real, he imagined that he was. His imagination was not in vain - he wasn't jut an old stuffed toy...

More and more, I think people are waking up to the simplicities of life...us country folk have always known it. You can't be a gardener without the love of it...it's the simple things that make us smile...a pea poking it's first finger toward the sun, the first bee harvesting a blossom's nectar and of course Spring...us Northuners awaken in spirit and tenacity, as we truck around our yards...like the bee, we know what must be done to survive...really, it's a simple thing!!!

Toes are cold this mornin' Tilda, but we have the sun to warm the frostys away...

Have a wonderful Easter girls, we needed the rain too, broccoli and cabbages are looking, like good fare for the velveteen bunny!!!
